Alexander Austin, Earnest to Epic, off the street Paintings and Drawings exhibit will be featured at the 6th Street Gallery at YWCA.
Austin has received several awards for his public art projects; most recently a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor’s office and voted 2009 “100 most influential African American in Kansas City” by The Kansas City Globe newspaper.
Austin’s public work can be seen throughout the metro. His paintings and drawings hang in the homes of celebrities like Will Smith and Danny Glover. This will be Alexander Austin’s first solo gallery exhibition.
